“Conscious Sultana living is not for sissy’s! It requires commitment to being the best we can be every moment of the day, no matter what is swirling around us.”

Dee Deluca, Seed Sultana

International Women’s Day on March 8 got me thinking about matriarchal societies. A small indigenous group in Costa Rica, the Bribri, are women-led. This society of 13,000 people is organized into clans that are made up of extended families. With women as the head of the households, they’re the only ones who are able to inherit land. They’re also the breadwinners, processing cacao into chocolate.

Ahhh, The power of the purse and the hearth; the space of Sultanas.

We stand together in the grandmother’s tent; moving things forward, having difficult conversations, keeping things real and current so we are more deeply connected to one another.

Let’s up our connections.

SG is already a hub for ideas and contributions imbedded by many Sultanas. We are in relationship; we are friends and family exploring Sultanas Way, supporting each others’ journey while creating new paradigms of sageing and engaging.

To better align with our intention of building community, connection and resources for fellow Sultanas, we are resigning our website:

ree

Moving forward, we are working to create space on the website to foster, promote and share products and services developed by fellow Sultanas. Something about “putting the Biz, in Sultanas.biz”. We will keep you informed as the project develops…

NOW is definitely the time to rise up as strong Sultanas for right speech, right thought and right action. “If not now, when?”

Be well and stay in touch. For more info, contact Ashley

Yours in spaciousness and joy,

“The weekend was a weaving of many threads brought by each of us Most did not know each other All our hearts were open to what might be possible Space we co created was safe allowing us to touch each other in meaningful ways Imagine how the world will feel when these kinds of exchanges are commonplace"

Reporting back on Sultanas Gathering,

Jan. 11-13th, 2019

14 adventurous seed Sultanas showed up, stepping into warm healing rays of the sun, overcoming challenges of bad weather, flight disruption, overseas travel and health issues to inaugurate the 1st Sultanas Gathering.

By the end of Sunday, our collective consciousness co-created and agreed upon 5 Sultanas Seed Practices:

Choose joy Be curious Cultivate connection Open to the mystery Embrace change

For individual work, we dove deeply into our own personal pearls of wisdom. We also chose qualities and behaviors that no longer served our evolution into full Sultana-hood. By letting go and surrendering, we were creating spaciousness for recalculating and reinventing.

We initiated the ‘gifting economy” by accepting the AWAKE collection of organic essential oils, folded into the Sultanas kit. We were given tools for creating ritual to help us acknowledge the spaciousness between appointments in our busy lives. A time to breath, ground and protect before stepping out.

ONWARD

Sultanas Gathering 2020

Jan. 10-12, Delray Beach FL.

.

Continuing to explore the Sultanas focus of "living before dying", we will grapple with some questions. How do we live strong productive lives in community? How do we avoid the old age isolation and loneliness? How do we create co-living collectives for graceful aging and cross-generational shared resources? How to discover what we truly want to leave behind?

Essential to our mission of becoming channels of hope and transformation, we will be inviting Sultanas-in-training [S.I.T] to stimulate energy flowing between generations, jumpstart conversations on ways to interact and communicate for the common good.

Ahh, the work of Sultanas is not for the meek. This is why we lift each other up, sisters of another mother.

Always recalculating and reinventing ‘the moment’ reminding myself to breathe, ground, step in/out, with all cylinders ON. In 6 D: physical body, intuitive sensitivity, thoughtful mind, passionate emotions; ethereal non-attachment and finally, the deep appreciation that we are all one.

How grateful we feel to be part of a community of conscious sisters and new friends; each of us committing to seed Sultana practices, imagining our ‘higher selves’ while supporting each other, our families and communities. By infusing all with joy, we are nurturing compassion and fun.

Now, dancing with pearl mala beads as a reminder of my commitment to growing into full Sultana-hood, I say the words of peace…

Om shanti, shanti, shanti

Happy New Year to all Sultanas,

"To be successful in life, you need a wishbone, a backbone and

a funny bone" Reba McEntire

Some good news for 2019:

[1] Nancy Pelosi will be assuming her leadership role as Speaker of the House today. Smart, tough, experienced, elegant and compassionate, she will be stimulating good in a complicated world, dressed in red coat, sunglasses and high heels. Sultanas Supreme. We wish you good luck and success, my friend.

[2] 15 brave Sultanas will be attending the January Sultanas Gathering in Delray Beach FL. Thanks to all the others who expressed interest in coming, but life - family commitments, illness, travel and work - took precedence. G-d speed, my friends. We will miss you but since radical connectivity is underlying truth, we will carry you with us in this weekend of Sultanas flow. Ahhh, life!

Opening to what’s unfolding,

we will be resting in the inhalation and exhalation of the present moment of endless possibilities that releases us from comparisons of right and wrong, hope and fear. We will be immersed in hubs of health, living and dying, pearls of wisdom Sultanas operating principles and the gifting economy; greatly inspired by Ostaseski’s book The Five Invitations: Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Fully Living and woven together by the joy of movement.

Info for retreat will be resent for attendee’s convenience.

After Gathering, we will be launching ‘Sultanas Pearls of Wisdom’ blog. We dedicate this place in space to the brave Japanese women pearl divers who dive deep for unique and beautiful pearls click here.

We will be reporting back to you as we go about creating an environment of right thought, compassion, and action for effecting good in the world. Click here for Margie Walden’s New Year message.

In the meantime, we pray for the restoration of balance and health in 2019: in mind, body, soul, and planet. May the healing rays of the sun surround us all with love, health and light,

ree
