Jody Dancer

Artist

Over the last 20 years, Jody Dancer, teacher, dance instructor, NIA black-belt,  community entrepreneur, owner Star Ballroom, Pompano Beach, Fl, has offered movement classes from NIA to ballroom dancing, tap to Tango, amateur showcases to professional-hosted weekly dances. She believes movement and music heals and inspires the best in us.

"I took my husband’s name, Dancer, and morphed into a dancer at 50.  I began with a yoga class, opening one door, that led to another, to a dance class, a training, a job, a vision, a business, a studio to dance, move, share, heal, inspire, entertain, and connect.  When I experienced the magic of movement and music, I found Joy, passion and a profession.

It is now my pleasure to share and encourage all to find their Joy and passion and gift and share it to the waiting world.  As  Rumi wrote:  'the soul is there for it’s own joy'.
I hope to continue on with Joy as fuel, movement for longevity, food for sustainability, sharing for fulfillment and laughter as medicine. "
